MVCollect: Australian auctions for trading cards, collectables and memorabilia. Bid Bold.
Own It.
MVCollect is Australia's home for Pokémon, One Piece, footy cards, slabs, Funko and more. Bid at auction or Buy It Now, and check any item's real market value from actual sold prices before you spend a cent. Australian sellers, buyers worldwide, every sale paid through PayPal Goods & Services, and memorabilia must be certified to be listed.
Founding Seller program
No MV selling fees for anyone in Launch Month (6 November to 6 December): buyers still pay the buyer's premium, MV doesn't bill you for it, so you keep it. Reserves are free too. After that, Founding Sellers step up slowly: 25%, 50%, then 75% of normal fees, and the first 15 get an extra month free first. Founding Seller places go to the first 30 sellers to list, and some are still open.
– sold records searchable across – categories in total. The two boxes above are never mixed: MV Verified is real sales completed on MV (auctions, Buy It Now and accepted offers), which can't be edited afterwards; Community Reference is prices people have logged from other sites (eBay, 130point, PSA Price Guide, Card Ladder and so on), shown for context but not checked. Market values are estimates from past sales, not a valuation or a promise of what an item will sell for. Prices only appear once you've narrowed down to one specific card with the fields below (player, year, set, numbering or parallel). A whole category just shows how many sales there are, because averaging different cards together wouldn't mean anything.
| Item | Category | Condition / Auth | Sold price | Bids | Date sold | Source / Verified |
|---|
MV's own sales are the most reliable. Prices logged from other sites are self-reported, so give them a sanity check before you rely on them.
List it. Let them bid.
Australian sellers only. Trading cards can be listed raw or graded. Memorabilia must be certified.
Your MV seller QR code
Put it on your banner, table or display case at card shows. Scanning it opens your MV seller page with your listings, and anyone who joins MV through it counts as your referral.
Pop packaging is mandatory, no exceptions: box-in-box (the Pop's own box bubble-wrapped or in a Pop Protector, inside a separate sturdy outer box, never shipped loose in just the original box), at least 1.5cm of real cushioning on every side with no rattle, corners specifically padded, fragile tape/stickers on the outside. A photo of the fully packed item is required when you mark any Pop order shipped, tracked or not.
PayPal's Goods & Services fee comes out of what you receive. Don't add it on top for the buyer (e.g. "+ PayPal fees"): Australia's surcharging rules don't allow it (PayPal from 5 October 2026). Build it into your price or starting bid instead.
Listing fees
Listing is free: auctions, Buy It Now and relists, up to 500 a month, then 50¢ each (unlimited on MV Pro Plus). MV only earns when something sells.
Reserve prices
Always free when the reserve is met. If it isn't: $2.50 ($1.50 MV Pro, $1 Pro Plus). New sellers get 2 free a month for their first 3 months; MV Pro gets 12, Pro Plus 30. Auctions with no reserve get a No reserve tag and tend to get more bids.
Buyer's premium
8% up to $250, 7% to $1,250, 6% to $2,500, 5% to $5,000, 4% to $7,500, 3% above that. The buyer pays it on top of your price, only if the item sells, and never on postage. It reaches you in the same PayPal payment as your price, and MV bills you for it once a month, so it isn't a cost to you. While you have no fees or reduced fees (Launch Month, Founding Seller), MV bills you less or nothing and you keep the difference.
Accepted payment methods
Buyers pay sellers directly through PayPal Goods & Services, so PayPal's Buyer & Seller Protection covers every sale. MV never holds or moves the money. The buyer sends one PayPal payment to the seller: the item price plus MV's buyer's premium. MV then bills the seller for that premium once a month. PayPal also takes its own fee from what the seller receives. Sellers can't add PayPal's fee to the buyer's total (Australian surcharging rules ban it from 5 October 2026), so allow for it in your price.
PayPal Goods & Services
The only payment method MV supports. Works for buyers anywhere, backed by PayPal's Buyer Protection (item not received / not as described) and Seller Protection. Paid straight into the seller's own PayPal account. Nothing routes through MV.
Shipping in Australia
All sellers on MV are in Australia. MV works out the postage for every listing, so buyers see it before they bid, and the buyer pays it on top of the item price.
Cards (singles and lots up to 16 cards)
| Sale price | How it posts | Postage |
|---|---|---|
| Under $50 | Seller may choose untracked: sleeve and toploader between cardboard, in a padded mailer (20mm thick at most). Shown as a tag before you bid | $6.00 |
| Up to $100 | Toploader between cardboard in a padded mailer, inside an Australia Post "letter with tracking" envelope (20mm thick at most) | $10.50 (cover to $100 included) |
| $100 to $500 | Tracked, with Australia Post Extra Cover | $10.50 + $2.50 per extra $100 |
| Graded card (slab) | Packed snugly in a padded mailer, 20mm thick or less: the same as a card above. If the seller boxes it, or it's thicker than 20mm, it goes as a small tracked parcel | $10.50 in a padded mailer, $13.50 boxed (+ $2.50 per extra $100 over $100) |
| Over $500, up to $5,000 | Australia Post tracked parcel in a padded mailer, Extra Cover for the full value, signature on delivery. The seller uploads packing photos and the post office receipt | $13.50 + $2.50 per extra $100 + $2.95 signature (about $29 on $600) |
| Over $5,000 | Pack & Send, fully insured | From $52.85 + 2.5% insurance |
Lots of 9–16 cards add $1 for the extra toploaders. Lots of 17 or more cards post as a parcel by weight. Sets and lots can't go untracked.
Parcels: memorabilia, sealed product, LEGO, figures and other collectables
Tracked Australia Post parcel, priced from the packaged weight the seller enters (bulky boxes are priced on their size), plus Extra Cover over $100, insured up to $5,000. Sellers can choose Pack & Send instead and enter their quote, which buyers see before bidding. Funko Pops post at $21 standard or $26.50 jumbo, plus Extra Cover, unless the seller sets their own postage price (from $13).
Proof of packing
Untracked orders, Funko Pops and sealed product need a photo or video of the packed item when they're marked shipped; for everything else it's encouraged. It's the seller's best evidence if anything goes wrong.
Combined postage
Bought several items from one seller? Ask them to combine the shipment: you pay one postage price for the whole parcel, worked out from what's in it.
International buyers
MV welcomes buyers worldwide. International shipments are held to a stricter policy than domestic, given the added transit and customs risk. Sellers: fill in the customs form honestly, with the real value.
| Sale price | Required service | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Up to $50 | Australia Post International, tracked. No untracked option | Untracked international mail goes missing far more often |
| $50 to $100 | Australia Post International, tracked, plus insurance (Extra Cover) | Insurance starts lower than in Australia, because overseas parcels are lost or disputed more |
| Over $100 | Pack & Send, international courier, insured, with signature on arrival | Courier tracking shows every step of the trip, through customs to the buyer's door, and the signature proves it arrived |
Estimate international postage & insurance
Based on the weight you enter when listing, the item's declared value, and destination: an estimate from published international carrier zones, not a live quote.
International sales carry more dispute risk
MV doesn't hold or release any payout. Payment happens directly between buyer and seller through PayPal Goods & Services. On international sales that means there's no MV-controlled hold to fall back on if a delivery dispute drags on; PayPal's own Resolution Centre timelines are what apply, same as any other PayPal transaction.
Buying your postage
MV works out the postage the buyer pays, but you buy and print the label yourself: MV doesn't sell labels or have its own postage rates.
Up to $500: Australia Post. A free MyPost Business account (no cost, no contract) gets you cheaper postage than the counter and lets you print labels at home, then drop the parcel off or book a pickup.
Cards over $500: Pack & Send, signature required, with their Freight plus Warranty cover. That's what the buyer's postage covers. Over $1,000, book it at a Pack & Send store; their online booking doesn't take items worth that much.
Memorabilia, sealed product and big card lots: an Australia Post parcel, insured up to $5,000 with Extra Cover. That's what the buyer's postage covers. Prefer Pack & Send for their very detailed tracking? Tick "Send with Pack & Send" when you list it and enter your quote (signature required): the buyer pays that, plus Pack & Send's 2.5% insurance. When you mark it shipped, choose Pack & Send so the buyer's tracking link goes to the right place.
Packaging proof
When you mark an order shipped (My Account → Selling), you can attach a quick photo or video of the item going into the top loader and padded mailer, just before you seal it. It's saved with the order, so if there's ever a dispute it shows the item left you exactly as described. Required for untracked orders, Funko Pops and sealed product; strongly recommended on anything over $100.
Unboxing video (anything over $100)
Australia Post's standard cover only goes up to $100. Above that, an unedited unboxing video from the buyer is what usually decides a damage dispute. MV can't make buyers film one, but it's in their interest: without it, a damage claim is much harder to win against the seller's packing proof. Together, the two videos cover the item at both ends of its journey.
My Account
What you're bidding on and selling right now, plus everything you've won and sold, in one place. Payment happens directly between you and the other party via PayPal Goods & Services: MV isn't involved in the payment itself, so "Paid" and "Shipped" below are each person confirming their own step.

Instant alerts on this device
Get a pop-up the moment you're outbid, something sells, or an offer or message arrives, even when MV isn't open. Turn it on separately on each phone or computer you use.
💡 Alerts arriving late, or only when you unlock your phone? Your phone's battery saver may be holding them. In your phone's Settings, search for battery optimisation and set Chrome (and MV, if listed) to Don't optimise. On Oppo and Realme phones, also turn off Sleep standby optimisation under Battery.
Email preferences
Everything still shows in your notification bell. This only controls which ones are also emailed. Emails about your account, invoices, security, orders, sales and offers always send.
Holiday mode
Going away? Pick the day you're back (up to 60 days). Until then your Buy It Now listings stay up for people to watch, but can't be bought and don't take offers. Auctions already running finish as normal, so post those when you're back or end them first. It switches off by itself on your return date.
MV Credit
Buying? Open a purchase you haven't paid yet (My Account → Buying) and apply your credit: it covers MV's buyer's premium, so you send the seller less. If a buyer uses credit on something you sold, you still get your full price; MV just bills you less for that sale.

Why MVCollect exists
MVCollect was started by collectors who've been in this hobby since the early '90s, back when finishing a set meant years of swaps, trades and chasing down that one last card. We've bought, sold, run box breaks and worked in card and memorabilia businesses, so we've seen it from both sides: as the buyer, and as the one running the sale.
Two things bugged us the whole time. The big auction sites were never built for collectors. They were built to sell everything from car parts to the kitchen sink, and cards just got swept along for the ride. And there's never been a proper record of what things actually sell for here. Everyone's guessing at value from a few scattered listings, mostly American ones, and AFL and NRL cards barely show up at all.
That's where the name comes from: MV stands for Market Value. So that's what MVCollect is built around:
- A Market Value guide made from real sold prices, in Australian dollars, one grade at a time (a PSA 10 is never mixed with a raw copy), built to become the record for the hobby here.
- Fees that step down as the price goes up, never charged on postage, and free to list.
- Auctions where the top bid wins. Any bid in the last five minutes resets the clock, so nobody gets sniped.
- MV never bids. MVCollect (the business) never bids, buys or makes offers on its own site, and MV team accounts can't bid on auctions at all. The price is set by real buyers, nobody else.
- Real bids only. Accounts that share a payment card can't bid on each other's auctions, accounts on the same device get flagged for us to check, and sales between linked accounts are left out of Market Value, so nobody can pump up a price.
- Every cert number checked. The same slab can't be listed by two different sellers, and any cert that turns up again from someone other than its buyer gets a look from us.
- Shipping standards (top loaders, padded mailers, tracked and insured postage on anything valuable) from people who've sent and received enough cards to know exactly what goes wrong when a seller cuts corners.
- Certified memorabilia only.
It's not a general marketplace with a cards category bolted on. It's built in Australia by people who've spent three decades on the other side of the screen, buying, breaking and selling in this exact hobby.
Fees that scale with you
8% down to 3% as the sale price climbs, and never a cent on postage. See Shipping & Payments for the full breakdown.
A real sold-price record
Market Value is the thing we always wished existed when we were trying to work out what a card was really worth.
Standards built by collectors
Top loader and padded mailer, tracked postage, insured on anything over $100. Not rules for the sake of it, just what actually gets a card there safely.

Top Sellers:
Ranked by total sale value this month, never by fees paid (those stay private to each seller). Top 3 get a share of their own fees back as credit at month's end.
🏆 Top Seller rewards start in January 2027
Until then this is the ranking only. From January, the top 3 sellers each month get 20%, 15% and 10% of their own MV fees back as credit, paid on the 1st of the next month.

Everything here also fires a notification (and email) the moment it happens. This is just the one place to see it all together and act on it.
Summary
Monthly income report: for tax
One spreadsheet per month: fees billed, fees paid with MV credit, cash actually received (card / PayPal / PayID), and what's still owing, then one row per payment. Give it to your accountant as-is.
Sales history = every sale, for looking one up. Every invoice = the full raw list. Monthly income report = the one for tax.

Referrals flagged for review
Linked accounts
Two accounts that share a payment card (almost certainly one person. They can't bid on each other's listings) or a device (could be family sharing a phone). Any sale between them is already kept out of the market value. Check, then mark reviewed.
Cert number alerts
One cert number belongs to one slab or signed item. Clash: someone tried to list a cert that's already live on another seller's listing (it was refused); one of the two may be a copy. Resold: a cert that sold on MV was listed again by someone other than its buyer; often a private resale, but worth a look at the photos. Check, then mark reviewed.
New sign-ups
Everyone with an account, newest first, including people who signed up without joining the waitlist. Green ticks show how far each seller has got: card added, PayPal email set, listings live.
Where visitors come from
How many people opened each tracked link (ads, flyers, posts), so you can see what's bringing people in. The pre-launch waitlist is folded away underneath.

System health
Background jobs run on a schedule with nobody watching. This is where a silent failure would otherwise go unnoticed.
Admin action log
A permanent record of changes made with admin tools (e.g. editing a listing's description): what it said before, what it says now, when, and who. Kept as evidence in case a dispute needs it, then cleared automatically on the same rule as listing photos: 180 days after the listing ends, at least 240 days after payment if it sold, and never while an MV or PayPal dispute about it is open or recently resolved.
Partner card shops
Shops that stock MV flyers or a counter QR card. Visible ones show on the About page under "Find MVCollect in store".
Stolen cert numbers
Cert numbers on this list can't be listed on MV. If a shop is robbed, paste in the numbers they send you. Only use numbers from the shop owner, police or the grader, never from social media posts: a wrong number blocks an innocent seller's real slab. If a number is already on a live listing you'll get an alert (the listing stays up, you decide).
